On Friday 6th September, the front lawns at Highgate House will be transformed into an Open Air Cinema to screen A Star is Born.
Come and enjoy the film under the stars with a group of friends or bring the family to see this much-loved film against the backdrop of Highgate House.
Twisted Kitchen will be serving their delicious wood fired pizzas and our Chudbus bar will be open for drinks (as well as a fully licensed bar in the hotel). You might even want to enjoy a meal in our Terrace Restaurant beforehand. (Please call on 01604 505505).
There will also be a DJ Set from our Resident DJ's Bob & Barry so you can relax and unwind in our gardens before the film!
The film will start between 7.30pm and 8pm (depending on sunset) with hot food and snacks served beforehand. You are welcome to arrive from 5pm as our DJ's Bob & Barry will be playing laid-back Ibiza style tunes until the film starts.

What time will the film start?
You are welcome to arrive from 4pm and the film will start between 7.30pm and 8pm (depending on sunset and lighting). The film duration is 134 minutes.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
Unfortunately not, no food or drink is permitted on-site however you can leave that to us! The Biscuiterie will be serving a selection of desserts including crêpes, waffles, macarons, brownies and profiteroles. Twisted Kitchen will be also be here with their delicious wood fired pizzas and our Chudbus bar will be open for drinks (as well as a fully licensed bar in the hotel). You might even want to enjoy a meal in our Terrace Restaurant beforehand. (Please call on 01604 505505).
Do I need to bring seating?
Yes - please bring your own camping chairs, blankets, cushions - anything that will make you feel comfortable! It is highly recommended to bring a torch too as there is no lighting within the gardens once the event has finished. Limited VIP tickets are available that include a front row inflatable sofa/armchair, blanket and a glass of prosecco!
Can I bring my children?
Unfortunately not, this film is a 15.
Do I need to bring cash?
While card payment is available at our inside bar, drinks purchased from our Chudbus bar will be cash only so we recommend bringing cash with you!
Are dogs welcome?
Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome but we do ask that they are kept on leads at all times. You are also responsible for cleaning up after your dog in the bins provided. Only guide dogs or assistance dogs will be allowed in the Terrace restaurant.
What should I wear?
The great British summer can be unpredictable and temperatures can drop significantly in the evening so remember to bring a jacket or extra blanket with you.
What happens if it rains?
This is an all-weather event and the outdoor screening will still go ahead if rain is forecast unless it is deemed unsafe. Should this happen, we advise bringing a suitable waterproof coat. Refunds will not be given due to adverse weather conditions. Refunds are only available in the event of a total cancellation where the event cannot be rescheduled and where the transfer of tickets to other events is not possible.
Can I smoke?
This is a non-smoking event including the use of e-cigarettes, however there is a designated smoking area within the grounds.
Where can I park?
Free parking is available within the hotel grounds.
