SOS Venue Finding Consultant

Purpose of the Job:

To offer informed recommendations and excellent service in guiding clients to find the right venue for their meetings and events. Maintain and develop designated clients working closely with the Account Manager or Business Development Manager. Assist in maximising the revenue for Sundial Group whenever possible.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Obtain comprehensive enquiry briefs from contacts
  • Identify the right venues and suppliers to approach
  • Negotiate the best available rate and terms
  • Prepare and deliver proposals outlining recommendations
  • Support the conversion of proposal to contract through: 
    - Follow up call to discuess recommendations
    - Arrange and acompany site inspections
    - Re-negotiate/ re-approach the market in line with contacts feedback
  • Prepare and send request for contract to the venue with copy to the contact 
  • Pre event communication to the contact and venue
  • Post event follow up call to the contact
  • Maintain accurate contact detail and booking information on relevant systems
  • Engage with existing and lapsed contacts at the appropriate levels
    - Telephone calls 
    - Invitations to client events
  • Identify and highlight new contacts to Business Development or Account Management
  • Communicate all activity with the Commercial Director  
  • Refer all client issues to relevant Sundial personnel
  • Attend regular SOS meetings and other relevant group meetings where necessary
  • Visit and assess venues for placing business in and update information as required
  • Communicate and share knowledge with the rest of the SOS team and the Group
  • Provide support, assistance and encouragement to the rest of the team as necessary
  • Assist in maximising the occupancy of the Sundial Venues
  • Refer all appropriate opportunities to Teamscapes
  • Ensure the Sundial standards and training manual documents are being followed
  • Health and Safety, hygiene regulations and risk assessments are achieved
  • Promoting and raising SOS profile
  • Practice and promote the Sundial Group’s core values and Business plan.

Terms and Conditions

  • Work 5 days out of 7, approximately 37.5 hours per week in line with the needs of the business
  • Visits to other Sundial Group venues, may be required including possible overnight stays.
